The best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Amazing beach and super helpful home owner. We even got to witness turtle egg laying right on villa's beach. I will definetly come back

Clean and tidy room. The owners are very friendly and kind. The balcony overlooks the ocean and you can watch the surfers. I recommend it!🤩

Thari, the owner is outstanding! Smart, funny and always helpful!Scooter rental - great!Surfing lessons - great!Accessibility - great!Gave us help with everything else like rides etc!Definitely come here.By the way, it's also a great spot for surfing and chilling out!Thanks Thari!

My stay at Plantations Villa in Midigama East was simply unforgettable! The location is unbeatable – right on the beach with breathtaking sea views from the terrace. For surfing enthusiasts it is a paradise as the famous 'Plantations' surf spot is right on the doorstep. I could watch the waves and be in the water within seconds.The host family, especially Thari and his family, are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They speak English fluently, which makes communication very pleasant. They helped me with everything from arranging transportation to local tips. Her warmth made me feel like family.The rooms are clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Waking up every morning and seeing the ocean was a highlight of my stay. There are numerous restaurants and cafes nearby within walking distance, making the location even more attractive.It was a special experience to watch the turtles on the beach. The hosts take loving care of the turtles' protection and I was lucky enough to be present at the release of newly hatched turtles - an unforgettable moment!Overall, I would recommend Plantations Villa to anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday with excellent surfing conditions and warm hospitality. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!Thanks to everyone - you were so sweet

In the Plantations Villa I was able to really switch off and enjoy my vacation. Right on the beach and isolated from the main road, Thari and his family create a small family retreat under palm trees. They are currently remodeling the entire garden and protecting the eggs of the rare sea turtles that will hatch here in a few weeks 😍 I would like to see this kind of initiative from more hosts 👍👌Just stop by here, treat yourself to a juice at the small beach bar and enjoy a little piece of Sri Lanka untouched by gentrification on the beach.

Absolutely excellent place to stay. Can check the surf from your room window. Need anything sorted, Tharindu has got it covered. Will definitely be staying here again, hopefully soon

Best location ! Surfspot Plantation Point (not for beginners, mavelous reef break) lies literally directly in front of the balcony/garden. Spots Lazy left and Weligama are very easy reachable by tuk tuk. Gurubebila is a nice village, circa 4km outside Weligama. With several really good restaurants and street booths selling water and fruit etc.The host of Plantation Villa, Thari, and his must be the most friendly and nice people in Sri Lanka's universe. He takes care of everything if you're in need of something.He's also a surf trainer who gets you up and running in that swell. The house offers everything you need (own bathroom per room, towels, moskitonet ...). The garden has more than enough space for prepairing the surf session and chilling after the session (shower etc.), in the shade of the palm trees.So ... 100 % recommendation.

Thank you Thari for an amazing hosting 🙏🏽 This season we stay at Plantations Villa and everything was very cool, especially the best view. Yes, here you will sleep under the sounds of ocean and wake up looking straight to the ocean 😻 Highly recommend such a relaxation! Plus so many activities: Surfing, snorkeling, diving, releasing a baby turtles to the ocean, gastronomic pleasure (many good food and restaurants around), surfing lessons as well as board rents, and many other, have a ride inside the island have a look at pure nature of Sri Lanka.Looking forward for our next trip, see you my friends 😃

Wake up and literally walk out the back door straight to the surf - it doesn't get more convenient.The owners go above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable stay. They granted an early check-in so I could maximize water time. When I mentioned needing gear, they happily ferried me to the local surf emporium.Between the unrivaled setting with surfing on your doorstep, spacious accommodations and gracious hospitality, Plantation Villa is a surfer's paradise. Whether seeking relaxation after sessions or spending dawn till dusk in the lineups, this villa has everything needed for the perfect beach retreat. I will surely be back to enjoy the waves and warmth again soon.
